Mastin Kipp’s CLAIM YOUR POWER LIVE & BOOK RELEASE

The challenge

Mastin Kipp is a number one best-selling author, speaker and Creator of Functional Life Coaching™ for people who are seeking rapid transformation in their lives. He has been featured on the Emmy Award show, Super Soul Sunday, and recognized as a “thought leader for the next generation” by Oprah Winfrey.

One of the things I love most about working with Mastin Kipp over the years is that he’s always looking for new technology to make his online presence work for him. So when he posed the idea of switching from Leadpages to Instapage, I was happy for the chance to work with a new platform.

I’ve been working in lead pages for a while now and feel pretty comfortable in the platform; it’s my go-to when new clients are looking to get started with their own sales funnels online. There are definitely pros to working with Leadpages when you are first starting out, but with Team Mastin’s ever-changing automation in the back end, Instapage was a good choice for working with a large range of integrations.

For this project, we’re going to be taking a look at a workaround we came up with for creating a pre-sale event for his new book which came out last year. Our challenge was to create a system where he could offer a series of rotating bonus offers to get people pre-ordering his book. We wanted to make sure this book made it on the NYT bestseller list, so there was a sequence of steps for them to complete to receive the bonuses that needed to be integrated with Instapage.

The solution

For this project, we decided to use a unique URL + Landing page to direct traffic to this specific offer. This way the funnel was completely separate from the website so that when the offer was over, we wouldn’t have to edit out the website.

Traffic was sent to this landing page to review the bonus offers and then links to track the traffic were used going out to Amazon, etc. The original site had to handle traffic from a multitude of countries (this was pre-GDPR thank goodness!), so we were using links specific to each country. Once they purchased a pre-order of the book, they would bring their receipt back to be validated on the page.

While I can’t go into the magic that happened between the landing page and thank you page, I was pleased to be working with PMA in the US and having the support from them to make it all work together. The subscribers received their bonus offers in their inbox and at the end of the project, Claim Your Power Book made the NYT Bestseller list within a couple weeks of being out.
