In the beginning, there was a graphic designer.
Like all good stories, mine started at my last full-time job. I worked for The Money Finder in Halifax as a graphic designer, and it was here that I fell in love with what would eventually become my freelance job as a Content Manager.
The Money Finder in Halifax is a financial services company that specializes in cash flow planning and training financial professionals to optimize their clients' financial situations.
While I was hired for them as a graphic designer, I was able to enjoy a myriad of projects, from event production to web design. I even got to design my first book cover while working with the team and flew out to Ontario to speak at their annual conference about marketing.
A huge thank you for the journey
Working for The Money Finder allowed me to work on so many different projects, from content creation to web design. They cultivated my writing skills—sending me to BlogJam and funding other writing resources—allowed me to invest time in learning social media management, and ultimately led me to my career as a freelancer working on all facets of Digital Marketing.
Because of this position, I’ve been a freelancer for nearly a decade, and I have all the skills I need in content creation and digital marketing. I also love helping my clients juggle the many hats that come with running a business, with new projects around every corner.
